We believe that producing a quality wine in small quantities is favorable over mass production. Gold Hill has consistently created award winning wines using only estate grown grapes. We currently have planted 11 varietals:

With hints of pear and peach, this is a refreshing, delicate white Rhone. 
A perfect complement to white meats

This is a refreshingly crisp and fruity Chardonnay.  Not overly oaked.
Aged in French Oak barrels and fermented in stainless steel.

2007 White Zinfandel


        Don't let the color fool you. Refreshingly crisp and fruity, and just slightly sweet.  Hints of raspberry and citrus notes in the nose compliment the clean an bright fruit flavors. 
        Enjoy it with fruits and cheeses.

      2006 Dessert Viognier   
        
                The apple, pear and honey nose blossoms into a fruit and floral pallet.
 Ideal acidity balances the 6% residual sugar.

NV California Champagne

This delicate bubbly is a blend of Chardonnay and French Colombard.
Subtly carbonated, it is surprisingly smooth and very popular.

Packed with ripe berry and spice notes, this Italian varietal is a great pairing with pasta and game meats.
It has very light tannins which makes it very drinkable now or lay it down for several years.

The rich soils of Gold Hill Vineyard have produced a delicious first vintage of Zinfandel.
A rich, full bodied style packed with complex flavors of berries and spices.
It is very drinkable now or lay it down for several years.

Two years aging in French and American oak barrels helps accentuate the soft cherry, blueberry, and cedar bouquet of this award winning Bordeaux wine; the Vintners choice.
Drinkable now, this Cabernet should continue to mature to its peak in 2011 or 2012.

A classic Northern Rhone is packed with rich ripe fruit and berry flavors with a touch of spiciness.This wine exudes the character of the Rhone River Valley. Oak aged for eighteen months in French and American oak adds a hint of smokiness and softens tannins.
The 2003 is clearly aging well representing a wise investment and as attested by the Gold Medal in Orange County this year. Nearly out of stock.

Two years aging in French oak accentuate the vanilla and cedar nose of this Merlot.  Rich black cherry and plum flavors pack the nose and the palate.

2004 Barbera Port   



This Port is ripe, luscious and makes for a
wonderful aperitif, dessert sipper or a good mix for Gold Hill California Champagne.  Crushed from high-sugar Barbera grapes, this dessert wine is quite soft, well blended and not too hot at 18% alcohol.
Originally discoverd by accident, this
Port is very drinkable.
